DANCE – Portraits in Motion Photography Workshop

288 288 people viewed this event.

We will be bringing in a professionally trained dancer to create some truly stunning dance/portrait images. Each participant will get individual shooting time with the model. Please note, this workshop is taking place in nature and is outdoors. Total number of participants is limited to 8.

For the workshop we will not be doing any actions that have jumping. While these images can be interesting, they can be a little challenging to capture and put the dancer under a fair bit of physical stress and could lead to an injury to the model doing so much repetition for every photographer.

Our workshops at The DPA are here to provide you with a means to expand your photographic knowledge and allow you to shoot and help build your portfolio. Our aim is to help and guide you on your journey to becoming not just good, perhaps great photographers.

4 hour in person workshop This includes an additional one hour virtual session for guidance on post processing using Lightroom and Photoshop via ZOOM.

30 minutes to 45 minutes making sure all participants understand:

  • The Physics of Light – Inverse Square Law and how to predictably control light.
  • Aspects of Light: Quality (Diffusion or specularity), Direction, and Color.
  • Flash & Camera settings to control your light.
